Witherspoon and Toth Will Benefit From Private Online DUI Classes!

After the incident this past weekend when Reese Witherspoon’s husband, Jim Toth, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in Atlanta, we thought it would be wise to give some helpful hints on what to do and not to do if you are pulled over. Apparently, the officer noticed that the car was being driven erratically and when Toth was pulled over, it was reported that he had droopy bloodshot eyes and his breath smelled of alcohol. The officer asked him to perform a field sobriety test after he admitted to having a drink at a restaurant two hours earlier. Witherspoon responded by getting out of the car twice and when she was asked to get back in, she leaned out the window and told the officer that she didn’t believe he was a real police officer. Then Mrs. Witherspoon got testy and asked the officer if he knew who she was and told him that he was going to be on national news. The officer was uninterested in her celebrity persona and proceeded to take both Toth and Witherspoon to jail.

The moral of the story is that if you are pulled over for a DUI, or are a passenger in the car, do not get out of your car unless the police officer asks you to! You do not need to respond to the officer and tell him how much alcohol you have consumed. And, you definitely should not provoke him with disrespectful behavior. You have the ability to refrain from answering all questions because of your 5th Amendment right. This amendment protects you from self-incrimination, which is helpful when you go to trial because the officer can’t later testify that you were slurring your words or making aggressive comments.

If you have been arrested for a DUI and need to take a drinking and driving education course as part of your retribution, consider taking your class online! You’ve already gone through the embarrassment and hassle of spending time in jail, missing work for court dates, coming up with the money to pay off the fines and lawyer fees, and spent your weekends doing community service work. Now it’s time to implement a tool that is available from the comfort of your own home. Depending on the severity of the offense, the judge will generally order an 8, 12, 16, 20 or 24-hour, level 3 DUI drug and alcohol awareness class. When you receive the sentence, either you or your attorney can ask the judge for permission to take the course online.

Online DUI classes are the most convenient and private way to go. High profile celebrities like them because they can avoid going into a crowded, public classroom full of DUI offenders. Online classes allow you to fulfill this requirement without the whole town or world watching you enter and exit a traditional classroom. Instead, once you enroll online, the entire course becomes available on your computer screen. The participant simply scrolls through and reads the educational material. At the end of class a multiple choice final exam is issued. With a 70% or better, a Certificate of Completion is sent to you. This is the documentation that the court needs to see to prove you accomplished this portion of the court mandate.

Stay low profile with an Online DUI course while learning the most recent research and skills to stop you from ever drinking and driving again!

Online DUI Classes For The Top 18 States With Highest DUI Rates

Think about this before you get behind the wheel of an automobile the next time you are out drinking – every injury or death caused by drunk driving is preventable. Unfortunately, many of us don’t realize the severity of the risks we are taking when we drink and drive. For women with low body weight, 1 -2 glasses of wine is all it takes to slow down and alter normal reaction time. And, don’t be fooled. It’s important to know that the alcohol content in a typical beer, glass of wine and mixed drink is similar. All it takes is one night out with the girls and then driving yourself home, to completely change your life forever. However, some of us take this risk all too often thinking that we’re not that buzzed or if we take a back route, we won’t get caught.

Some enlightening news, according to a CBS news survey, is that the top 18 states with highest drinking and driving rates are as follows:

1. North Dakota – out of 1,000 people surveyed, 988 admitted to alcohol impaired driving

2. Delaware – 843/1000

3. Massachusetts – 835/1000

4. Nebraska – 832/1000

5. Louisiana – 728/1000

6. Missouri – 701/1000

7. Michigan – 689/1000

8. South Dakota – 623/1000

9. Alabama – 621/1000

10. Iowa – 620/1000

11. Texas – 605/1000

12. Montana – 603/1000

13. Wyoming – 586/1000

14. Ohio – 585/1000

15. South Carolina - 582/1000

16. Connecticut – 567/1000

17. Illinois – 513/1000

18. Hawaii 492/1000

If you have made decision to drink and drive and have found yourself with a DUI, you will need to take an alcohol awareness class as part of your restitution. Research actually shows that jail time does little to reform individuals who have been cited for this offense. It’s the education component that hits home and acts to reform behavior.

Alcohol and drug awareness classes are designed to teach participants about the DUI problem in America, how this behavior affects loved ones and society as a whole, how the drugs and alcohol affect the brain, central nervous system and entire body and specifically how it affects your driving ability. Participants also walk away with new knowledge and skill sets to help them overcome peer pressure and their own indecisiveness. Alcohol and drug classes teach drunk driving offenders how lucky they are to have made it through this incident without harming anyone and why exactly the behavior needs to end. Students are left with a complete understanding of the risks and repercussions that they are facing if they continue to drink and drive so that they will hand the keys over to a sober friend next time.

The most convenient way to take a DUI class is online. Many offenders find that weekly classes are held in the evenings when they work or travel for business. An online DUI class can be taken from an Internet connected computer device and from anywhere in the country. If you work the 2nd shift, then you take the class in the morning or early afternoon prior to going into work. If you travel, you can take it from your hotel room while you are on the road. Online DUI classes are designed to be court approved so they include all the same information you would find in a live classroom. Just check with your probation officer, judge or attorney to get approval for taking a distance learning class so you don’t run into conflict at your court date.

The message is not to drink and drive! If it’s too late, take an online driving under the influence class to fulfill your court mandate.

Underage Drinkers Should Take Online DUI Class To Learn Risks And Repercussions

Now that Spring break madness is coming to an end, the next concern on many parent’s minds is Prom/Graduation parties. Getting a DUI is no fun and it’s important for parents to have the conversation with their teens so they are fully aware of the repercussions of drinking and driving. Mothers Against Drunk Drivers has a 48 page handbook on their website that gives parents tips on how to go about having the discussion. Some of the key points as summarized are as follows:

*Emphasize the drinking age is 21.

*Educate them about how alcohol slows down motor skills, reduces inhibition and impairs judgment.

*Discuss ways to get out of uncomfortable situations when peer pressure arises.

*Discuss reasons why they shouldn’t drink. Tell stories of the death and destruction drinking and driving can leave behind.

*Discuss your position on underage drinking and what the consequences will be in your own home.

Another way to add to this discussion is to have your teenager take an 8 hour online alcohol and drug awareness class, Minor in Possession or DUI class. These classes are available to fulfill court requirements but also work well as a deterrent. Research shows that the younger a person learns about the negative repercussions of alcohol and drug abuse and drunk driving, the lower the chances that they will engage in this risky behavior. This is why MADD makes such a point of having presentations at the high school level. It helps to scare teens straight.

A simple, interesting and engaging way to add to your discussion with your teen is to have them enroll in a class online. High quality courses are now available on the Internet, so you don’t have to drive to a classroom or add one more activity to your already busy schedule. Online DUI classes can be accessed at any time of the day or night. Teenagers enjoy using computer technology and also like to stay up late, a perfect combination for an online course.

Teens will learn about the drug, alcohol and DUI problem in America and how drugs directly affect their bodies and minds. They’ll learn about blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and what happens when you try to drive a car after drinking. The long and short health risks of alcohol and drug use are enough to make any young adult think twice about succumbing to peer pressure. Participants also walk away with new skills in stress management and how to communicate with others. It’s a great way to take a proactive approach to the overall problem.

Online alcohol and drug classes are also often court approved. If your teen has been caught for an open container violation or obstruction of justice, a Minor in Possession class can fulfill the court ordered education requirement. Just ask your judge for prior approval of an online class and your teen can stay in the safety and comfort of your own home to learn the material. A certificate of completion is issued upon the successful completion of the course to prove to the court system that the requirement was fulfilled.

Have your teen take an online DUI, alcohol and drug awareness or MIP class today for a safer, brighter tomorrow.

Online DUI classes Cover Different Types of DUI Offenses

Drunk driving incidents claim about 10,000 lives each year. This is a number that law enforcement across the country is working hard at reducing. Many counties have stop DWI programs in place. These programs include checkpoints, undercover compliance checks at local liquor stores, and monitoring of popular pubs around town. Did you know that you could get a DUI charge prior to actually driving down the road? Every state has a different law, but many people don’t realize that they can also be charged with attempting to operate a vehicle while intoxicated. This means that you’ve come out of the bar after having a few cocktails, get into your car, start it up, and fiddle with the heat or radio while the car is running. If a police officer is watching the premises, he can arrest you for DUI for being in physical control of the vehicle while under the influence. Of course, you can try to contest the arrest, but most juries across the nation are not empathetic to drunk drivers. The goal of this program is to keep drunk drivers off the road.

If you find yourself with a DUI offense for driving or attempting to drive your vehicle, you know you are in for a legal long haul. There will be court dates, fines, possible jail time, possible loss of license, community service work and court mandated alcohol education classes. These courses are a means to help drivers charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs learn why this behavior should not be repeated.

Online DUI classes are a great way for busy people to fulfill court-mandated requirement. If you have already missed work to attend court dates, have spent time away from the family dealing with the situation, and maybe don’t have a valid license right now, online classes are the way to go. An online class is an affordable way to learn your alcohol and drug education content without having to leave the home. All you need is WIFI connection and you can register and take a class from your laptop, PC, Smartphone or Ipad. Nothing needs to be printed out or downloaded, so you don’t have to be in a classroom or office environment.

Just like you would for any product you purchase, be sure to do a background check on the online DUI program you choose. It’s important that the company that has designed the program is reputable so that the court will consider accepting it. A course that is designed by a currently licensed and practicing psychotherapist and expert in the field of drugs and alcohol definitely helps your case. Insure that you can get a hold of this expert if you need help with the court system because sometimes a phone call to your probation officer or attorney can help your cause.

Another huge benefit of taking an online class is that you can often get it done more quickly if you are under time constraints. For example, if the judge has ordered that you take a 20-hour alcohol and drug awareness class, one hour a week in a classroom will take you 5 months to complete. This same 20-hour class can be taken online at your own pace. If you want to sit down for 10 hours a day over 2 days, you can.

If there’s one thing an online DUI class will teach you, it’s to hand your keys over to a designated driver next time!

CSI: NY Star Should Take His DUI Class Requirement Online

CSI: New York star Carmine Giovinazzo was pulled over this past January for not staying within traffic lanes. According to police reports, he was slurring his words, reeked of alcohol and eventually confessed that he had been drinking scotch at the W Hotel. The actor was able to work out a deal that will keep him out of jail, as long as he pleads guilty to DUI and completes an alcohol awareness program by May 3, 2013.

This is a perfect situation to take an online DUI class. Carmine just needs to get prior approval from the judge to take a distance learning class rather than having to go into a public classroom. Taking an online alcohol awareness education program will keep him out of the limelight so he doesn’t have paparazzi trailing him into a traditional classroom setting. He would also be protected from leaked stories and fans that want his autograph. He can focus on the topic at hand and really learn from it, instead of wasting his energy trying to avoid the mayhem.

Online classes enable participants to have complete anonymity and privacy. The only people who know you are enrolled are the class, your judge and you. Furthermore, once registered, an online class is available to you 24/7. This means that Giovinazzo wouldn’t have to miss any work to take the class. You sign up for the course with a login name and password, and it can then be accessed from any Internet based computer device. So, he could take the program during his lunch hour in his dressing room, late at night after work or on a weekend. Nothing needs to be printed out either, so participants can sit in comfortable surroundings rather than at a desk or in an office atmosphere.

Alcohol and drug awareness classes or DUI classes online are offered in 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 hour lengths and can be entered and exited from any web-based computer, anywhere in the U.S. and Canada. They are a great solution for people who are high profile, travel for business or are too busy to get to a standard classroom at a certain time each week. In Giovinazzo’s situation, he would also benefit from an online course because he only has 2 months to complete the program. If he can wipe his entire schedule clean to make it to a traditional classroom, then great. However, people really enjoy online classes because they can often spend more time over one weekend or during a particular week to fulfill the requirement and meet a deadline.

Participants simply scroll through the class, which is divided by chapter and topic. Each chapter has text, graphics and diagrams. The client can take a break at any time while taking the class by logging out. When you are ready to start up again, the computer program will pull up exactly where you left off. The material can be reviewed at any time while taking the course.

At the end of the class the participant is given a short multiple-choice test to insure that the material has been understood. Once this final is passed with a 70% or better, a Certificate of Completion is sent out. This is the documentation that the court will need to see to prove that the requirement was successfully fulfilled. This paperwork can also be downloaded immediately and there is no additional charge for this service.

Taking an online DUI class is a practical, educational and quality way to fulfill court requirements.

Drive Sober Or Take An Online DUI Class!

Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over is the latest in drinking and driving campaigns from traffic safety marketing, and it’s out just in time to remind us all not to drink and drive on St. Patrick’s Day this coming Sunday! St. Patrick’s Day is a festive holiday filled with the fun rituals of wearing green, eating corned beef and cabbage and for many drinking Irish whiskey and Guinness Stout. Suddenly, everyone is Irish and it can be fun to indulge if you are staying at home or walking to a local pub, but remember not to under any condition drink alcohol and drive!

Authorities will be out in force across the nation to help protect our roads on this day notorious for overindulging. There will be a number of DUI checkpoints in many cities across the nation. And, aside from the dangers of drinking and driving, drivers should be aware that a DUI arrest can cost as much as $5,000 to deal with.

Just a quick snapshot of what you could be in for if you are caught for a DUI offense include:

· Court costs

· Criminal fines

· Bail

· Attorneys fees

· Car impoundment

· Loss of drivers license

· Loss of job/loss of income

· According to MADD, auto insurance hikes of up to $6,000 per year

· DUI classes

So, plan ahead and avoid being a statistic. Designate a driver, call a taxi, stay overnight, walk home or abstain from alcohol!

However, if you do get pulled over and need to fulfill court requirements for a DUI education class; take the lead to look into online options. Most court systems will simply tell you to take an alcohol and drug awareness class. Do the research to find out if you can take this course online instead of trying to get to a weekly classroom meeting, especially if your license has been suspended!

Online DUI classes are becoming more and more popular as most individuals now have Internet access via a Smartphone, Ipad, laptop or PC. You will find many benefits in taking an alcohol and drug awareness class from your own home verses going to an in-person classroom. First of all, online classes can be accessed at any time of the day or night. This enables the client to take the course on their own schedule rather than that of an instructor. Furthermore, they are completely self-paced. If the participant is under a strict deadline to get the educational portion of their offense completed, he or she can sit all weekend if necessary to accomplish the task. This is in contrast to a traditional classroom course that meets once a week over a period of months. Online classes also give clients freedom. They can be taken from anywhere in the U.S. that has an Internet connection. This is especially helpful for people who travel for business like truck drivers, sales people or executives.

A final consideration is that online DUI classes give the client complete privacy. This might be a situation that you don’t want others to know about, or would like to keep under the radar. The only people who are aware you are taking an online DUI class are you, your attorney and judge. This aspect takes away any embarrassment or uncomfortable feelings about being in a classroom full of strangers.

Modern Technology Makes DUI Classes Easy To Access

When individuals are pulled over for suspicion of drinking and driving, they may be asked to take a Breathalyzer test. This is a device that estimates the blood alcohol content from a sample of the breath. The evidence from this test is offered during the court hearing to prove an individual was under the influence while driving.

Consumer Breathalyzer tests can be purchased by individuals who want to check their own sobriety before getting behind the wheel. They have also become a popular method for parents to check their kids for intoxication. Some teens even use the device as an excuse to help them opt out of drinking when feeling peer pressure. “My parents will use a breathalyzer on me when I get home, so I can’t drink”.

Recently, there’s been a great deal of talk about a new IPhone accessory that plugs into the audio port. Users can take this along on a night out and it will let them know if they've been drinking too much to drive. Or, there’s also a new App that will track the movement of eyes to determine the extent of intoxication. The consumer simply has a friend point the camera at one of your eyeballs, so the app can scan the eye and deliver a BAC level.

The best advancement in technology to deal with DUI behavior is to educate yourself on alcohol and drug use with an online DUI class. Online classes are becoming ever more popular as the population becomes more fluent and comfortable with using computer devices. An 8,10, 12, 16, 20 or 24-hour DUI alcohol awareness program can be taken as a proactive measure or if you have been court ordered due to a drug or alcohol related offense.

Online classes can be taken nationally in all 50 states from any Internet based computer like an Ipad, Smartphone, PC or laptop. The consumer simply registers for the length of class they are interested in. This generally depends on the length the court has mandated or the amount of depth you would like to get into each topic. Once registered, the class is available to take 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is no live instruction. The entire class is accessed from the computer screen and the participant scrolls through the material at his or her own pace. The classes can be taken in one or a few sittings if under a deadline, or whenever there is free time over a period of weeks or months.

When the customer has finished the course, a Certificate of Completion is sent out via US mail with no additional cost. This is the official documentation that the court will need to see to prove the class was taken. A downloadable copy is also available upon request.

Technology today makes it easy to not only test your breath for alcohol levels, but to help individuals stay sober to begin with. Take an online DUI or alcohol awareness class today to learn why and how not to drink and drive.
